‘art of the stay’
The brief was to carry out a complete redesign of the Hospitality Group’s online offering while being mindful of the company’s brand legacy. Taking the existing branding and company visual assets, the corporate website was given a complete refresh, making the navigation and the booking engine more intuitive and easy to use. The graphics were refined with a predominant use of the groups charcoal gray and gold, with accents of Langham pink, which has always been a centerpiece of the brand’s color palette.
Extensive research of other hospitality sites revealed that 65% of audiences are engaged by heavily visual platforms, and user monitoring showed that the hotel gallery was the first port of call when users got online. Hence it was important to bear this in mind when designing the site and the visual content was closely reviewed.
The new online look and feel, using the Melbourne property as a pilot site, became more expansive, with full-width visuals of the property’s best assets and sumptuous, eye-catching galleries.
