The magazine portrait, whether for mass media or for the specialized or corporate press, is a demanding exercise that combines speed of execution, graphic creativity and improvisation. It may seem paradoxical, but in this field, mastering the art of improvisation cannot be improvised!
Very often the photographer will have to adapt to the place in which the interview was planned by the journalist with whom he is associated. Moreover, the VIPs photographed often have very little time to devote to the shoot. This is where the experience of a seasoned photographer makes all the difference.
It is a question of taking advantage of the opportunities offered (or imposed) by the venue in order to do justice to both the subject and the article in a very short time.
