Must not the photo be as fine as the wine?
Yes, assuredly so. For the portrait of your bottle to live up to the quality of its content, it must be photographed in just the right light, with just the right touch.
But here’s the catch: shots of glass are notoriously tricky. Hello reflections! Hello unwanted flashes of bright light! To get this sort of thing right, you can’t improvise. You need the right kit and the right know-how.
Fortunately, our photographer has plenty of both. Believe it or not, he’s even designed his own portable bottle soft-box, to achieve perfect lighting even out of the studio. That’s how much he loves wine, so if you’re a vintner and you want outstanding photos of your domain, vineyards and wine bottles, just make sure you only open a bottle AFTER the photo shoot 😉
